Indian Head Massage (click to open/close

Massaging the head can do much to relieve the stress and tension that fill our everyday lives. Indian Head Massage focuses mainly on the face and scalp and also includes treatment to the upper back, neck, shoulders and upper arms.

The massage has a strong effect on the mind, body and soul. As the massage works on the shoulders and neck, the relief of tension is felt almost instantaneously.

In addition to easing headaches and stress, it can help with many other conditions, such as scalp and hair problems, aids localised blood and lymphatic circulation, relieves eye strain, boosts the immune system, relieves muscle tension, and helps restore joint movement.

Indian Head Massage may be performed with or without oils.

Holistic facial Massage is a specialised massage that uses gentle manipulation of the tissues and muscles of the face, neck, shoulders and scalp.

A holistic facial is extremely relaxing and helps the body to release toxins, improves lymphatic drainage, reduce stress and tension and the skin becomes more supple and flexible.

All treatments are designed to meet client's individual needs. The range of options will be discussed at the consultation prior to the treatment to ensure the client’s expectations are met.

Combine this with other treatments for the ultimate relaxation experience.

Hot and Cold Stone Therapy (click to open/close)

Hot and cold stone therapy is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated and cooled stones. The heated stones are basalt, a smooth, round, black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat helps tight muscles release more quickly than traditional massage. The cold stones are marble, they help to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation and therefore are used on specific problem areas.  It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage.

Traditional strokes of Swedish massage are used while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, it is replaced with another. The application of water-heated basalt stones targets key points on the body, giving a deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth.  An exciting and unique treatment, designed to uplift and relax the body at its deepest level. The heat of the warm basalt stones penetrates your skin down to and over 4cms, being carried down to the deeper layers by the blood. Clients leave feeling the beneficial effects of a deep massage without any soreness.

Reflexology (click to open/close)

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principles that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to glands, organs and structures of the body.

Reflexology is a specific pressure technique applied to feet and hands where the internal body structures are mirrored or mapped in miniature.

It is a simple non-invasive treatment which helps to maintain the delicate balance between the body’s systems.

It is a natural, holistic, non-invasive therapy. As a practitioner of reflexology I only use therapeutic touch, no gadgets or implements are used to help bring about results.

I am a Vertical Reflexology Therapist. This is a unique Reflexology technique used briefly at the beginning and end of a session. Used in combination with conventional Reflexology this simple weight bearing technique is proving to have excellent results for mobility problems.

Synergistic Reflexology is also applied during Vertical Reflexology. This technique of working hand and foot reflexes simultaneously can accelerate the body’s response to treatment.
